Dual-basket air fryer with steam by Philips, 5000 series, model NA555/09. It splits 9 litres between two independent baskets and adds a steam function that moistens the air at the start of cooking, so food does not dry out before it browns. It uses Rapid Air technology between 40 and 200 °C at 2750 W with a timer of up to 60 minutes, in a silver finish.
When choosing an air fryer, look at the usable capacity of the drawer or drawers and how many portions it takes at once, at the temperature range and preset programmes, and at whether the parts that touch food are dishwasher safe. Dual-zone models let you cook two foods at once with different settings. The appliance goes on a stable surface with free space around and above it for the hot air outlet, and connects to a 220-240 V socket.
