How we process your personal data, for what purposes and which rights you have under Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and the German Federal Data Protection Act (BDSG).

2. Data we process

  • Contact and identification data: name, email address, phone number, delivery and billing address and, if you request a company invoice, your VAT number.
  • Order data: products, amounts, dates, order numbers, returns, complaints and customer-service correspondence.
  • Payment data: payment is processed on the payment provider’s page; we do not store and cannot access your full card number and only receive confirmation of the transaction.
  • Technical data: IP address, device and browser type, and the cookies described in the Cookie Policy.

4. Recipients

We only share your data with service providers that we need to provide our service, where necessary as processors under Art. 28 GDPR:

  • parcel services and freight forwarders that deliver your order;
  • the payment service provider and banks that process your payment;
  • our web hosting provider and our email provider;
  • tax advisers and accountants, to meet our legal obligations;
  • public authorities, where we are legally required to do so.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not transfer data to countries outside the European Economic Area; should this become necessary, it will only take place on the basis of the safeguards provided for in Art. 44 et seq. GDPR.

5. Retention periods

  • Order, invoice and accounting data: for the duration of the contract and then for the statutory retention periods (up to 10 years under § 147 AO and § 257 HGB).
  • Customer-service correspondence: up to 6 years where it relates to a contract (commercial correspondence), otherwise up to 1 year after the enquiry has been resolved.
  • Customer account data: for as long as the account is active.
  • Cookies: for the periods stated in the Cookie Policy.

6. Your rights

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and the right to object to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). You may withdraw any consent you have given at any time with effect for the future. To exercise your rights, write to sales@rinconelectro.com or to the postal address above. We reply within one month.

You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, your place of work or the place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR). The supervisory authority responsible for us is: Bayerisches Landesamt für Datenschutzaufsicht (BayLDA), Promenade 18, 91522 Ansbach, Germany.

7. Security

We use technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including HTTPS encryption of the whole website and restricted access to order information.
