Wall-mounted electric radiator by Dimplex, AluRad range, reference DAR150. The chassis is recycled aluminium, a material that moves heat quickly and keeps the weight moderate for the size; heat output combines convection through the internal channels with radiation from the front face, much like a hydronic radiator but with no plumbing.
Control is from the panel on the unit or from the manufacturer’s app over Wi-Fi, with weekly programming and per-room temperature setting. It is fixed to the wall and wired to 230-240 V; the IP24 rating allows use in damp rooms provided the safety zones of the wiring regulations are respected. It has a thermal safety cut-out with automatic reset. Size the output by floor area and insulation: the manufacturer quotes 15 m2 as the reference for this version.
