Hotpoint CHSD82MWWUK Heat Pump Tumble Dryer 8 kg PetHairCare

Freestanding tumble dryer by Hotpoint, model C HSD 82M WW UK, with a HEAT PUMP drying system and a rated capacity of 8 kg. It declares energy class A+ on the A+++ to D scale, 265 kWh annual consumption, condensation efficiency class C, 900 W, a 64 dB noise level with noise emission class B and a 209-minute reference cycle. It measures 846 x 598 x 545 mm, has fifteen drying programmes and includes the PetHairCare function, designed to lift pet hair off the laundry during the cycle.

When choosing a tumble dryer, look first at the system: condenser dryers are cheaper to buy and heat the air with an element, while heat-pump dryers reuse the heat of the cycle itself and use considerably less energy, in exchange for a higher starting price and longer cycles at a lower temperature, which treats fabrics more gently. Then compare the capacity in kilograms, the energy efficiency class and the consumption per cycle, the noise level, and whether drying is controlled by a humidity sensor or by a timer. The appliance needs an earthed 220-240 V socket and, if it is a condenser or heat-pump model, the water tank has to be emptied or the drain connected; vented models also need an air outlet to the outside.

The data shown comes from the documentation published by the manufacturer; in case of divergence the official product sheet prevails. The appliance is covered by the two-year statutory warranty of conformity (RDL 1/2007).
