Indesit CYDA81WWGLUK Vented Tumble Dryer 8 kg 16 Programmes

Freestanding tumble dryer by Indesit, model C YD A81 WWGL UK, with a VENTED drying system: it pushes the moist air out through a hose instead of condensing it into a tank. Rated capacity of 8 kg, 2400 W, a 67 dB noise level and a 155-minute reference cycle, with sixteen drying programmes. It measures 846 x 597 x 584 mm. Before buying, be clear that the vent hose needs an outlet to a yard, a window or a duct, which condenser and heat pump dryers do not require.

When choosing a tumble dryer, look first at the system: condenser dryers are cheaper to buy and heat the air with an element, while heat-pump dryers reuse the heat of the cycle itself and use considerably less energy, in exchange for a higher starting price and longer cycles at a lower temperature, which treats fabrics more gently. Then compare the capacity in kilograms, the energy efficiency class and the consumption per cycle, the noise level, and whether drying is controlled by a humidity sensor or by a timer. The appliance needs an earthed 220-240 V socket and, if it is a condenser or heat-pump model, the water tank has to be emptied or the drain connected; vented models also need an air outlet to the outside.

The data shown comes from the documentation published by the manufacturer; in case of divergence the official product sheet prevails. The appliance is covered by the two-year statutory warranty of conformity (RDL 1/2007).
