Desiccant dehumidifier by EcoAir, model DD3 Simple. A rotary humidity dial with Energy Saving, Turbo and Laundry modes, a 3.5 l tank and a silver nano filter; it covers rooms up to 85 m² and keeps extracting at 1 °C.
Desiccant drying does not rely on a compressor, so it keeps its output in cold rooms — garages, box rooms, cellars and holiday homes — where a compressor unit loses capacity. When choosing, look at the declared extraction in l/24 h, the tank volume, the continuous-drainage option and the noise level; the outlet air is warm, which helps laundry drying but raises the room temperature slightly. It needs free space around the grilles and a 220-240 V socket.
The data shown comes from the documentation published by the manufacturer; in case of divergence the official datasheet prevails. The product is covered by the two-year statutory warranty for defects under German law (§§ 434 ff. BGB).
