Airfree P60 air purifier, the middle size in the P range. It works without filters and without a fan: air rises by natural convection, passes through a heated ceramic core and returns to the room already cool. The manufacturer declares it for rooms of up to 24 m². With no filters to replace, the running cost is limited to the electricity it uses.
When choosing an air purifier it is worth comparing the clean air delivery rate (CADR) and the room size the manufacturer declares for it, the filtration stages and the cost and frequency of replacement filters, the noise level in the quietest and in the maximum mode, and the power draw in continuous operation. To deliver the stated figures the unit needs free space around the air inlet and outlet grilles, a position out of the way and a 220-240 V socket; filters are replaced on the schedule given in the manual and are not washed unless the manufacturer allows it.
The data shown comes from the documentation published by the manufacturer; in case of divergence the official product datasheet prevails. The appliance is covered by the two-year statutory warranty for defects under German law (§§ 434 ff. BGB).
