The medium-size version of the TruSens range, declared by the manufacturer for rooms of up to 35 m2. It keeps the 360-degree particle filter with a carbon layer for gases and odours, the UV-C lamp over the filter and the PureDirect twin outlet stream. The SensorPod is placed away from the unit and transmits the air quality reading, which the purifier shows on a colour ring with a numerical value and uses to adjust fan speed.
When choosing an air purifier it is worth comparing the clean air delivery rate (CADR) and the room size the manufacturer declares for it, the filtration stages and the cost and frequency of replacement filters, the noise level in the quietest and in the maximum mode, and the power draw in continuous operation. To deliver the stated figures the unit needs free space around the air inlet and outlet grilles, a position out of the way and a 220-240 V socket; filters are replaced on the schedule given in the manual and are not washed unless the manufacturer allows it.
