Countertop electric grill by Ninja, model Sizzle GR101UK. It comes with two interchangeable non-stick plates: the grill plate, which gives meat the chargrill lines, and the flat plate, intended for eggs, bacon, pancakes or fajitas. The detachable mesh lid holds back the spitting fat and, together with the grease catch, keeps smoke in the kitchen down.
The usable surface is 827 cm2, enough for about 6 burgers, chicken breasts or pancakes at a time. It reaches up to 260 °C, the temperature that allows a fast sear; when choosing an indoor grill it is precisely that maximum temperature and the surface area that matter, rather than the rated wattage. The plates and the lid are dishwasher safe. It measures 34 x 38 x 13.5 cm and weighs 4.4 kg, so it stores easily in a cupboard. The data shown comes from the documentation published by the manufacturer; in case of divergence the official datasheet prevails. The product is covered by the two-year statutory warranty for defects under German law (§§ 434 ff. BGB).
