Tower air purifier with Blueair HEPASilent Dual filtration, model Blue Max 3250i. It draws air in through 360 degrees and returns it at the top, using a combined particle and carbon filter plus a washable fabric pre-filter available in several colours. It is intended for bedrooms and home offices: the manufacturer states 20 m² in 12.5 minutes and up to 48 m² in 30 minutes.
When choosing an air purifier it is worth comparing the clean air delivery rate (CADR) and the room size the manufacturer declares for it, the filtration stages and the cost and frequency of replacement filters, the noise level in the quietest and in the maximum mode, and the power draw in continuous operation. To deliver the stated figures the unit needs free space around the air inlet and outlet grilles, a position out of the way and a 220-240 V socket; filters are replaced on the schedule given in the manual and are not washed unless the manufacturer allows it.
