Swiss IQAir air purifier, model HealthPro 250, with three stages: a PreMax F8 pre-filter, a V5-Cell gas and odour filter with activated carbon and impregnated alumina, and a HyperHEPA H12/13 main filter with a declared efficiency of at least 99.97 % for particles of 0.3 µm and larger to EN 1822. The unit ships with an individual certificate of performance and a remote control.
When choosing an air purifier it is worth comparing the clean air delivery rate (CADR) and the room size the manufacturer declares for it, the filtration stages and the cost and frequency of replacement filters, the noise level in the quietest and in the maximum mode, and the power draw in continuous operation. To deliver the stated figures the unit needs free space around the air inlet and outlet grilles, a position out of the way and a 220-240 V socket; filters are replaced on the schedule given in the manual and are not washed unless the manufacturer allows it.
