Storage electric water heater by Thermor, model Concept Compact 30. It stores 30 litres of domestic hot water in a acero vitrificado tank with a blindada heating element, and is fitted vertically on the wall. It is a compact, almost cubic unit with an external temperature control and expanded polyurethane insulation. Measuring 46,7 x 44 x 38,8 cm (Al x An x F) y 11,8 kg, it suits fitting under a sink or inside a small bathroom cupboard.
To pick the capacity, count the people in the home and the draw-off points that may run at the same time; an oversized cylinder keeps water hot that nobody uses, and an undersized one runs out halfway through a shower. The stated mounting position must be respected, because the vertical, horizontal and multi-position versions are not interchangeable and their water connections do not match. Installation is for a qualified fitter: a new safety valve on the cold water inlet, a dielectric union on the hot water outlet, a pressure reducer if the mains exceeds 5 bar, and a 220-240 V supply rated for the 1500 W element. The manufacturer commercial guarantee is 2 years in full and 3 years on the tank. The appliance requires an 8 bar safety valve to EN 1487 and, if fitted unpressurised, a special mixer tap that is not supplied.
